ARLINGTON, Va. — Bloomberg Law today announced a new AI-powered legal intelligence experience designed to help law firms and corporate legal teams identify important developments earlier, understand their potential impact, and act with greater speed and confidence.
The announcement reflects a broader shift in legal technology. As generative AI makes research, drafting and analysis faster, legal professionals face a new challenge; determining what deserves attention, understanding why it matters, and deciding what should happen next.
Building on Bloomberg Law’s trusted legal content, news, dockets, practical guidance, and market intelligence, the new experience combines AI-powered analysis with connected workflows designed to help legal teams move from awareness to action.
New capabilities Bloomberg Law will showcase at ILTACON include:
- BLAW AI, a new conversational AI experience that delivers deeper analysis, and cited responses grounded in Bloomberg Law content and selected sources.
- Workspaces, collaborative environments where teams can organize research, documents, AI analysis, and matter related work in one place.
- AI agents, guided workflows that help legal professionals’ complete repeatable legal tasks using structured inputs, selected sources, and reviewable outputs.
Bloomberg Law will also preview Watchlists, a personalized monitoring experience that tracks developments relevant to the clients, matters, industries, companies, and issues legal. Combining AI-powered monitoring with Bloomberg Law news and analysis, Watchlists help users understand what changed, why it matters, and what action they may need to take next.
Recognizing that legal organizations increasingly work across multiple technologies, Bloomberg Law will preview new interoperability capabilities designed to bring its trusted litigation intelligence and dockets data into AI tools and workflows legal organizations use outside the platform. Using the Model Context Protocol (MCP), Bloomberg Law now offers an integration with Anthropic’s Claude.
Bloomberg Law will demonstrate the new experience at ILTACON 2026, August 23-27 in Nashville. During the session “Meet the New Bloomberg Law Experience” on August 24, Bloomberg Law and Dashboard Legal leaders will showcase how connected intelligence, workflow management, and AI capabilities can help legal teams move from insight to action.
On August 26, Bloomberg Law Director of Workflow Solutions Mat Rotenberg will lead the masterclass “AI Can Do the Work. Now What?“, exploring how organizations can effectively coordinate people, AI agents, workflows, and decision-making in an era of abundant AI-generated output.
Aaron Pierce, head of Bloomberg Law, will be available at ILTACON for interviews and commentary on the evolution of AI in legal work, Bloomberg Law’s product strategy, and the role of trusted intelligence and professional judgment in legal technology.
