Configure and Customize Checklists
The “Configure Checklist” menu provides powerful customization options to tailor your checklist to your specific needs. These configuration capabilities add improved flexibility to how legal teams adapt the Dashboard Legal framework to their specific project needs.
To access, click the ellipsis at the top right of your Checklist next to your team members and click “Configure Display View” :
The subsequent menu offers several configuration and customization capabilities (see below):
Modify Checklist Title: Edit the name of your checklist at the top of the menu.
Edit Checklist Description: Add or modify a detailed description of the checklist using the rich text editor. This description is visible to all board members and can be used to explain the purpose or provide important instructions.
Edit Columns: Customize the columns displayed in your checklist.
- Show Defaults: Quickly revert to the default column setup.
- Existing Columns: For each column, you can:
- See the column title and type
- Adjust the number of values (if applicable)
- Choose whether to show it in the list view or export
- Reorder or remove columns
Add New Columns: Add custom columns to enhance your checklist’s functionality.
- Enter a custom column name
- Choose from various column types:
- Short Text
- Rich Text
- Yes / No
- URL
- Subtasks
- Linked DMS Documents
- Click “Create” to add the new column
Configure Checklist Template Library: Manage checklist templates for future use.
- Save New Template: Store the current checklist structure as a template in your organization’s library.
- Update Template: Modify an existing template with the current checklist structure.
Duplicate Checklist: Create a copy of the current checklist in another workstream.
- Use “Duplicate Checklist” to copy the entire structure (groups, items, columns) to a different workstream.
This configuration menu allows you to adapt the checklist to your specific workflow, add custom fields for additional information, and save frequently used structures as templates. By leveraging these options, you can create a highly tailored project management tool that fits your team’s unique requirements.
